When Tiger Woods first saw the large “AK” initial belt buckle he was wondering and ask the young kid wore it, “What is that?”
“Well, Nike hasn’t put my initials on anything yet,” the kid replied to have smiling respond from Tiger.
Yes! He is Anthony Kim, the youngest golfer on PGA Tour who tied for second on his PGA Tour debut in Fall 2006 at the Valero Texas Open in San Antonio and earned US $1.1 million in his first five months of 2007.
The 23 year old Anthony Kim of Dallas, known as “AK” to his friends and fans has been tagged by many as the next challenger to Tiger. Kim has finished 1st on the PGA Tour 2 times in 2008. He won Wachovia Championship in May 2008 defeating former British Open champion Ben Curtis by five shots and defeating Fredrik Jacobson by two shots in July 2008 to win his second PGA Tour at the AT&T National.

It made the Southern California native Anthony Kim joined the elite company of Tiger Woods, Sergio Garcia and Adam Scott to become the golfer under 25 with multiple PGA Tour victories in the same season in the last 10 years. He’s the first American since Woods to do so.
Those moved the former Oklahoma University golfer to 14th in the World Ranking and 6th in Money Leader on the PGA Tour with over 6 million dollars (more than 4 million in 2008).
His stylish play has vaulted him onto one of six rookies on the US Ryder Cup Team in September. With no Tiger, people are wondering about how Kim is going to play and what is more whether he’s going to wear his ‘good luck’ signature belt buckle.
Anthony Kim’s Elevee studded “AK” Belt Buckle has gathered a lot of attention on PGA Tour. It’s been a topic of conversation. Kim called it ‘good luck’ belt buckle, an oval glittering big buckle with the shimmering initials AK. Rickey Lamitie, president of Elevee Golf added, “It’s his good-luck buckle.”
